High-Low System Card Counting Method

The basic system for counting cards is the High-Low method. Cards between 2 and 6 are assigned a value of +1, 7, 8 and 9 are worth 0 while the face cards and Ace are worth -1 . As the cards are dealt, the player has to mentally add up the value of the cards on the table. Thus, when the account is between 14 and 16 we speak of a hot table , with many high cards to come out and many possibilities of receiving a Blackjack or, at least, 20. To make the calculation more exact we can divide the total of cards by the decks left on the table.

This is known as a “true count.”

Example:

We have counted 4 cards. There are still more high cards than low cards to come out. We can up the bet.

We have counted -4 cards. There are more low cards in the deck than high cards, so you have to reduce the bet.

In both cases, two decks remain to be used. In the first example, we divide 4/2 and the true count is 2; in the second case, we divide -4/2 and the true count is -2.

Uston SS Card Counting Method

A variety of the High-Low method, the Uston SS system is something more complex since the cards are divided into 6 groups so that the difficulty is greater. The first thing of all will be to multiply the number of decks used by -2 , so that when starting in a negative range we avoid false indicators resulting from temporary fluctuations. When we cross the 0 barrier we obtain an advantage of at least 1% over the dealer. To do this, you have to be clear about the value of each card.

*To make it more precise, you can count the aces separately, so that the chances of getting blackjack increase.

Example:

We played a game of blackjack with 6 decks, we started with -12 on the scoreboard (-2×6)

After each game, we are adding points. If in the first we have counted 7, the score will be -5.

If after several games we exceed 0, the table will be hot and we can raise the bet.

To be able to put this practice into operation, it is necessary to have a good memory and an exquisite concentration technique, since a mistake can cause the count to be wrong, leading to the loss of the bet.

Red 7 Card Counting Method

This system is amongst the most complex strategies. It is based on the Seven Red Card and is characterized by being an unbalanced system, as the final result of the card counting is 2 and not 0 as it occurs in balanced systems (eg the Hi / Lo System).

Let’s start by indicating how the cards are divided and what values ​​are to be attributed.

2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 have a value of +1
Red 7 has a value of +1
Black 7 has a value of 0
8 and 9 have value 0
10, J, QK and Ace have value -1

Compared to other counting systems, therefore, it will be necessary to consider the presence of 7s and remember that only red is worth + 1, while black is worth 0.

Another element fundamental in the Red 7 system is related to the number of decks. This significantly affects the count. In fact, instead of starting from 0, we will start with a negative number that depends on the number of decks multiplied by -2.

For example, if you are playing with 4 decks, we will have to start from -8: 4 x (-2). Starting from – 8, or even -12, if you play with six decks, you will have to start subtracting or adding points based on the cards that come out. Once we are familiar with this count we need to be good at identifying the pivot point.
