Endorphina Secures UAE Licence From GCGRA

Endorphina has secured a UAE licence from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority, becoming one of the first slot suppliers authorised to operate within the Emirates’ newly regulated gaming market. The Prague-based developer received a Gaming-Related Vendor Licence (Tier II) from the GCGRA on 8 May 2026, clearing it to offer products and services to licensed operators across the UAE.

The move adds a strategically important jurisdiction to Endorphina’s portfolio at a pivotal moment. The UAE’s regulated gaming market is young, and the companies entering it now are setting the tone for what follows.

What the Licence Covers

The GCGRA is a federal authority with exclusive jurisdiction over licensing, supervising, and regulating all commercial gaming activity in the UAE. It operates as the single gatekeeper for the entire Emirates, which gives any approval it issues significant weight.

A Gaming-Related Vendor Licence at Tier II level covers suppliers of gaming equipment and related goods and services. For Endorphina, that means the company can now supply its slot content to operators running under the GCGRA’s regulatory framework. It does not grant operator rights, but it does put Endorphina in position to partner with every licensed casino that opens in the country.

The licence was issued in the same week, making Endorphina an early mover in a market that the wider industry is watching closely.

Endorphina on the Global Stage

Džangar Jesenov, Endorphina’s head of compliance, described the development as both an honour and a responsibility. He pointed to the company’s growing international footprint as a sign of its direction.

“Over the past years, Endorphina has grown into a truly reputable, internationally recognised supplier, following a principle of gradual and sustainable development,” Jesenov said.

He added that the company now ranks among the top providers worldwide by the number of jurisdictions in which it holds authorisation.

For a studio founded in Prague, that is a meaningful claim. Endorphina operates across more than 50 jurisdictions, with over 200 slot titles and partnerships spanning Europe, Latin America, and beyond. Each new licence adds to a compliance track record that operators in regulated markets look for when selecting content partners.

Jesenov also spoke about contributing to building a sustainable and innovative industry under the GCGRA’s guidance, signalling that Endorphina sees this as a long-term commitment rather than a box-ticking exercise.

A Market Still Taking Shape

Endorphina’s entry comes as the UAE’s gaming sector moves through its earliest stages of development. The GCGRA only recently began issuing licences to commercial vendors, and the pool of authorised suppliers remains small. Getting in now positions Endorphina ahead of the wave rather than behind it.

On the land-based side, the scale of investment is significant. Wynn Resorts is developing a $5.1 billion integrated resort on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, a project widely expected to become the UAE’s first regulated casino. It is the kind of anchor development that draws other operators, suppliers, and investment into the same orbit.

Construction briefly paused in February amid broader regional tensions. It resumed in March, but the episode served as a reminder that the Gulf gaming market is developing against a complicated geopolitical backdrop. The fundamentals remain in place, but the path is not entirely smooth.

What This Means for Endorphina

Securing a UAE licence from the GCGRA puts Endorphina in a short list of suppliers already cleared for one of the most high-profile emerging markets in the world. European gaming regulators have long been the standard by which compliance frameworks are judged, but the UAE is building its own model, and the operators and suppliers establishing a presence now will have an advantage as the market matures.

For Endorphina, this follows a pattern of disciplined, jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction expansion. Earlier this year the studio gained regulatory approval in Ontario, another tightly controlled market. The approach is consistent: enter regulated markets early, build relationships with licensed operators, and grow from a foundation of compliance rather than catching up to it.

The UAE chapter is just opening. But Endorphina has put itself in the right position to benefit when it does.
