Pix changed how Brazil pays. Since the central bank switched it on in 2020 it has become the default way to send money, and for casino players it is close to perfect: deposits land in seconds and, at the better sites, withdrawals come back the same way just as fast.
There is still plenty to get right. Pix keys, QR codes, the lower limits banks apply at night and the name on the account all decide whether a payment goes through smoothly or sits waiting for a manual check.
Below are the casinos we have tested that accept Pix, followed by the practical guide I would give a friend before their first deposit.
Reviewed byFred AndersonCan you use Pix at online casinos?
Yes. Pix is one of the most widely accepted casino payment methods for Brazilian players. Deposits are made by scanning a QR code or pasting a Pix copy and paste code in your banking app, and many casinos also pay winnings back by Pix, often within minutes.
Brazil’s central bank, the Banco Central do Brasil, built Pix and switched it on in November 2020. It never closes, not at night, not on Sundays, not on public holidays, and private individuals pay nothing to use it at almost every bank.
Rather than typing out long bank details, you pay to a Pix key. It might be your CPF or your phone number, an email address, or a random key created by your bank.
It took Pix only a few years to overtake both cards and boletos and become the way Brazilians pay most often. For online casinos that was a turning point: at last there was a local method that moves money instantly whether it is coming in or going out.
Choosing a slot will honestly take you longer than this.
One golden rule. Every code belongs to a single deposit and usually expires soon after it is created. Never pay an old code a second time. Create a fresh code for every top up.
When a Pix deposit gets stuck, the most common culprit is simple: the bank account that paid does not belong to the person who owns the casino account.
The receiving side of a Pix payment sees who paid, name and CPF included. Send money from your partner’s account or a friend’s, and plenty of casinos will freeze the deposit or return it, because to them it looks as if somebody else is paying.
Withdrawals follow the same logic in reverse. The casino sends them to a Pix key that is in your own name, so use a key that belongs to the CPF you signed up with. Keep that CPF within reach too, since verification will ask for it.
Very few local methods can touch Pix on payouts. Where a casino supports it, the money can be sitting in your account minutes after approval.
Pix itself moves the money in an instant. Any waiting happens inside the casino while it looks at your request. Identity checks make the very first withdrawal the slowest, and after that same day processing is common.
The easiest choices are your CPF or your phone number. A random key works as well, but it is long and easy to get wrong when you type it.
Also look up the casino’s minimum withdrawal before requesting a payout.
Round the clock does not mean unlimited at every hour.
Between 8 pm and 6 am, banks put a reduced standard limit on Pix for security reasons. A big deposit that fails late in the evening has most likely run into that ceiling. You can lift it in your banking app, although the change often only kicks in after a waiting period, sometimes a day or more.
At the casino end, Pix deposits usually start at just a few EUR, which makes it friendly for small stakes. Maximum deposits and withdrawals differ from site to site and often depend on your player level. If you intend to move a larger sum, do it in daylight.
January 2025 marked the start of a licensed betting market in Brazil. A handful of rules decide how Pix fits into it:
Plenty of international casinos still welcome Brazilian players and provide Pix by working with local processors. They hold foreign licences, so if something goes wrong there are fewer local protections to fall back on. Worth knowing before you register.
Welcome offers and reloads normally accept Pix deposits, and casinos that aim at Brazil often design their promotions around it.
Where reais are offered as account currency, pick them and skip conversion completely. If your casino balance is kept in EUR, the payment partner converts your money, and its rate can be worse than the one your bank would give you.
Then check how much wagering is attached, how long you get and what the maximum bet is before saying yes to anything. Pix pays out fast, but only after the bonus terms have released your balance.
Pix will cover you on most days. Still, a casino’s Pix partner can go offline, and having a backup method ready saves the evening.
Some sites still offer bank transfer and boleto, and both are slower. A smaller group of casinos takes debit cards.
AstroPay is a favourite among Brazilian players and handles deposits as well as payouts. MiFinity, an e-wallet, and crypto turn up often at international sites as well.
Yes. Pix is widely accepted at casinos that serve Brazilian players, both licensed .bet.br sites and many international casinos.
At many casinos, yes. Once the casino approves the payout, the transfer itself is almost instant.
The most common reason is that the paying account belongs to someone else. Always pay from an account in your own name and CPF.
Banks apply a lower default Pix limit between 8 pm and 6 am. You can adjust it in your banking app.
Pix is free for private individuals at most banks, and casinos rarely add fees. Currency conversion can still cost you if your account is not in reais.
Your CPF or phone number is the simplest and least error prone. The key must belong to you.
