What is Genesis Gaming known for?
Genesis Gaming is a slot developer that started in 2008, with its headquarters in Las Vegas and a second studio in Vancouver. It built video slots for operators, platforms and social casinos, including Ragnarok, Robyn, Mystic Monkeys, Temple of Luxor and Machine Gun Unicorn. Its games reached casinos through Microgaming's Quickfire network, Relax Gaming and later the Radi8 brand.

Genesis never set out to be a household name. It sold slot content to other companies: land based machine makers, online operators and social casino apps. SlotCatalog and a 2016 trade report both give 2008 as the year it started.
A 2012 press release put the headquarters and main studio in Las Vegas, with a business office in London for European customers. By 2014 it described two studios, in Las Vegas and Vancouver, which managing director Geoffrey Hansen said mixed video game skills with casino know how. Scott Sims was named as co-founder and creative lead, and Steven Meistrich was CEO in 2013.
That supplier model explains a lot about Genesis Gaming casinos today. Games were made to order, several launched with one operator first, and the same slot could reach another platform a year later.

The total depends on who is counting. Genesis spoke of more than 150 slots in 2015, a 2016 trade report said more than 200, and SlotCatalog lists 119 Genesis games today. Part of the gap may be social and land based content, but we could not confirm that, so treat any single number with care.
Three slots show the range you can expect in Genesis Gaming casinos.
Norse end of days on 5 reels and 25 lines. The hook was progression: collect 30 runes to unlock all three levels of the game. It went live at Unibet in April 2014, stayed in the operator’s top 10 for three months according to Genesis, and joined Quickfire in 2015. SlotCatalog lists an RTP of 94.5% and notes that the game comes in more than one RTP version.
Five reels, 50 lines and three wise monkeys sitting under a Buddha figure. Three to five scatters start the free spins, where one monkey becomes an extra sticky wild. Unibet launched it in April 2015 on desktop, on mobile and in its Spin City app on the same day.
The name tells you most of it. SlotCatalog lists a 5×3 grid with 10 lines that pay both ways, plus stacked symbols and symbol bombs, and it was the title behind the studio’s place on the 2016 Global Gaming Awards shortlist. I like that a supplier known for made to order content took a swing this wild.
If I had to show a friend one game from Genesis Gaming casinos, it would be this one, purely for the layout. Temple of Luxor arrived in December 2015, exclusive to Unibet through Relax for a limited time, with two 4×5 reel sets side by side.
One set pays left to right, the other right to left, for 100 lines in total. Land two scatters on each set and the obelisk between them turns into a giant wild. The grids then merge into 11 reels with 50 lines that pay both ways, and the wild reel copies itself, so every bonus spin has four full wild reels. Free games can be retriggered.
SlotCatalog lists Temple of Luxor at 97.1% with low volatility, and Mirror Magic at 97.34%. Those are listed figures, not a promise: Ragnarok and Robyn exist in more than one RTP version, so check the info screen of the game in front of you.
The later releases came out under a new brand. Radi8 is a series of mobile first slots aimed at European players, and by February 2020 it had 11 titles, Cat Kingdom and Jungle Jam among them. Tiki Tower followed in May 2020 as the 12th: a 5×3 slot that starts on 30 lines and grows to 80 as new rows open, with a top payout of 3,000x the bet.
