What does Triple Edge Studios make?
Triple Edge Studios is a slot developer that launched its brand at ICE London in 2018 as an exclusive content partner of Microgaming, and it now supplies Games Global on the same exclusive basis. It is known for the Ancient Fortunes and Fire and Roses Joker series, Lara Croft Temples and Tombs, and mechanics such as Rolling Reels and Rising Rewards.
Triple Edge Studios stepped into the light at ICE London in February 2018, when Microgaming announced an exclusive content deal with what it called an independent global games studio. Triple Edge was the first of several studios to sign on those terms, and its first game under the deal was Playboy Gold, a six reel slot made under an existing licensing arrangement with Playboy Enterprises. A few slots were already out by then, Halloween, Sugar Parade and Oink Country Love among them.
The team is an unusual mix. In a 2018 interview, Triple Edge described staff who had come from video game companies, movie studios, robotics, defence and even NASA. You can see the range in the art: hand drawn gods in Ancient Fortunes, a jazz soundtrack in Devilish Fortunes, a circus ringmaster in Fire and Roses Gold Blitz Fortune Tower.
The distributor changed in May 2022, when Games Global completed its purchase of Microgaming’s distribution business and games portfolio. Since then Triple Edge has been presented as one of Games Global’s exclusive studio partners, so in practice Triple Edge Studios casinos are casinos that take the Games Global feed, the same one that now carries the catalogue you know from Microgaming casinos. What we could not find is a head office address, a named owner or a gambling licence in the studio’s own name, so we leave those out.

Big licences are part of the story too. Lara Croft Temples and Tombs (2019) put Rolling Reels on 243 ways with a free spins multiplier that can reach 15x, Lara Croft Tomb of the Sun is also a Triple Edge game, and Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah linked a Triple Edge slot to the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot network in 2020.
