ReelPlay is the Sydney studio that gave us Infinity Reels, the mechanic where a winning spin adds a whole new reel and the multiplier climbs with it. Some casinos write it as Reel Play, and ReelPlay ideas turn up in slots made by other studios too.
This page lists the open casinos in our database that carry ReelPlay, and explains what the company really is, which of its games are worth knowing and what to check before you sign up.

ReelPlay is a privately held slot studio in Sydney, Australia, that started out as Chance Interactive and rebranded in 2019. It created Infinity Reels, makes Megaways and 10K Ways slots, and also works as a hub for partner studios, handling maths, integration and distribution. It holds a UK Gambling Commission software licence and reaches casinos through Relax Gaming, Yggdrasil and Light & Wonder.
Most slots are a fixed box. You know on the first spin that you are looking at five reels, or six, and that is where it stays. ReelPlay’s big idea was to break that box open.
In an Infinity Reels game, every win adds a new reel to the right and triggers a respin, and each extra reel pushes the multiplier up. Keep winning and the grid keeps stretching. The first game built this way was El Dorado Infinity Reels. Giza Infinity Reels followed in April 2020, and that summer Odin Infinity Reels Megaways mixed the mechanic with Big Time Gaming’s Megaways.
The appeal is the tension. A small win in the base game is never just a small win, because it might be the first link in a chain. The flip side is volatility. SlotCatalog rates Odin as high volatility, so long quiet spells are part of the deal, and your stake should be sized for that.

This is the part most players never hear about. ReelPlay makes its own games, but it also helps other studios get theirs online.
ReelPlay designs and builds its own titles, from first sketch to finished maths. The team includes people with long careers at IGT, Aristocrat and NextGen, and in a SlotCatalog interview given while David Johnson was still CCO, the company said it released around half a dozen games a year, choosing quality over volume. SlotCatalog now lists 99 slots under the Reel Play name, all of them video slots.
For smaller developers, ReelPlay offers game build, maths, marketing, integration and commercial support. Boomerang Games, Gameslab, Bad Dingo and Lightning Box have all been named as partners. In 2020 Relax Gaming extended its deal with ReelPlay to cover this third party studio content, and Bad Dingo’s Golden Haul Infinity Reels reached casinos through Yggdrasil in partnership with ReelPlay.
Infinity Reels is a product in its own right. In 2020 Relax Gaming signed an IP deal for the Infinity Reels trade dress and mechanic on behalf of its partners, its in-house Silver Bullet Studios included, and other studios build Infinity Reels games under licence. So when an Infinity Reels slot turns up from a studio you have never heard of, the idea still started in Sydney, and our game provider guides are a good place to look that studio up.
The company did not start life as ReelPlay. It was Chance Interactive, a studio in Sydney, Australia, until it rebranded in July 2019. Sources disagree on whether Chance Interactive was founded in 2013 or 2014, so we will not pick a side.

Two hires in 2018 shaped what came next: Scott Smith as chief executive and David Johnson as chief commercial officer. Johnson took over as CEO in February 2021, while Smith moved to a board and advisory role overseeing the ReelPlay group studios. The company is privately held.
The UK Gambling Commission register lists ReelPlay PTY LTD with an active remote gambling software licence, account number 54430, in place since 24 June 2019. Buster Hammer Carnival, an early ReelPlay hit, launched exclusively with LeoVegas before it reached other casinos, and Giza and Odin later followed the same route.
Infinity Reels gets the headlines, but ReelPlay works across several formats, some of them its own and some licensed from other companies. Here is how they differ:
| Format | How it plays | ReelPlay examples |
|---|---|---|
| Infinity Reels | Each win adds a reel and a respin, with a rising multiplier | El Dorado Infinity Reels, Giza Infinity Reels |
| Megaways | Licensed from Big Time Gaming, the number of symbols per reel changes every spin | Hypernova Megaways, Atlantis Megaways |
| 10K Ways | ReelPlay’s own series built on 10,000 ways to win | Pay Pig 10K Ways, Tsai Shen 10K Ways |
| Gigablox | Yggdrasil’s giant symbol mechanic, used in joint releases | Lions GigaBlox |
Hypernova Megaways deserves its own mention. It was among the first releases after the rebrand, plays on six reels with up to 117,649 ways and swaps free spins for a jackpot respins feature with four fixed jackpots. Later, Hypernova Infinity Reels Dream Drop and Tsai Shen 10K Ways Dream Drop joined Relax Gaming’s Dream Drop jackpot network.
ReelPlay reaches casinos through the big aggregators rather than a platform of its own, and the list of partners has grown almost every year.
Relax Gaming has carried ReelPlay since 2019. By 2024 the two had released more than 70 games together, and ReelPlay moved up to Relax’s Silver Bullet partner tier, with Pay Pig 10K Ways as the first release under the new deal. Yggdrasil added the studio to its YG Masters programme in September 2020, with Atlantis Megaways and Giza Infinity Reels as launch titles. Light & Wonder, through what used to be SG Digital, has taken ReelPlay games to New Jersey and Michigan, and in 2023 to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation in Canada.

2026 has been busy as well. In May ReelPlay added its games to the REEVO aggregation network, and in June RLX Gaming named it the first partner for its new US aggregation service, starting in New Jersey and Pennsylvania with Lucky Lady Leprechaun.
