Red7 is a name you mostly spot in a casino’s provider filter, tucked in between the giants, and the Red7 casinos in our database carry a catalogue that began in a small Bristol company built around mobile phones. Jelly bears doing athletics, a dragon squaring up to a unicorn, a rhino charging across Megaways reels: that is the kind of mix you get.
This page lists the open casinos that carry Red7, and explains who owns the studio today, which of its slots are worth knowing and what to check before you deposit.

Red7 is a slot studio founded in Bristol in 2011 by Matt Hatch and Adam Fox. Scientific Games bought it in 2017, and that group now trades as Light & Wonder, whose UK studio traces its roots to Red7. SlotCatalog lists 31 Red7 games, almost all video slots, including Jelly Bear Athletics, Dragon vs Unicorn and Action Bank Plus.
Back in 2011, plenty of casino games were still made for a desktop browser and squeezed onto phones later. Red7 started from the other end.
Matt Hatch and Adam Fox founded the company in Bristol that year, Hatch as chief executive and Fox as chief technology officer, and it was a member of the SETsquared network in the city. Red7Mobile, as the company was formally called, made mobile and desktop casino games for real money operators: slots, scratch cards and instant win games, and table games.
It also had a side most players never saw. Red7 built sports apps and a piece of sports middleware that fed real time in play statistics and odds into sportsbook apps. Both halves of the business were named when a much bigger company came knocking.

If you want to know who you are really dealing with at Red7 casinos, the short answer is a large listed American group, not a small British start up.
In July 2017 Scientific Games announced that it had bought Red7Mobile Ltd. The price was not disclosed. The acquisition announcement said every Red7 employee would stay on at the Bristol site, and it pointed to the slots, instant win games, table games and sports betting technology as the attraction.
In March 2022 Scientific Games said it would do business as Light & Wonder, after selling its lottery and sports betting units and turning its focus to digital casino gaming. The Red7 slots did not move anywhere, but the name on the door changed.
The original company is gone. The Companies House register shows Red7Mobile Ltd as incorporated on 17 October 2011 and dissolved on 27 June 2023. The studio outlived the paperwork, though: Light & Wonder’s UK studio is described as founded as Red7, and the Red7 label still sits in casino lobbies today.
SlotCatalog counts 31 Red7 games: 30 video slots and one card game, Zappit Blackjack. The early slots are mostly five reel, 20 line games with a big, bold theme, and that is where the studio’s personality shows most.
Jelly Bear Athletics, released in 2016, sends gummy bears to a sports day with expanding symbols and free spins. Dragon vs Unicorn from 2017 does exactly what the title promises and adds a bonus game, Legend of Fortune takes you into an Aztec and Mayan jungle, and Dinoworld goes back to the Stone Age with reel sets that change during play.
Then the grids grew. Raging Rhino Megaways, released in June 2019, runs on six reels plus a horizontal reel on top, with up to 117,649 ways and high volatility. Action Bank Plus followed in November 2019 on a 6 by 4 grid with 4,096 ways, free spins and a pick objects bonus.

One oddity is worth knowing. SlotCatalog files Raging Rhino Megaways under Red7, while its own review credits the Megaways update to WMS, the SG Gaming label. Red7 casinos may list the game under either studio, so search the lobby by title if the provider filter comes up empty.
Here is something a thumbnail will never tell you. The older Red7 slots have a noticeably lower theoretical return than the 2019 releases. These are the figures SlotCatalog lists:
| Slot | Released | Layout | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jelly Bear Athletics | 2016 | 5×3, 20 lines | 95.08% |
| Dragon vs Unicorn | 2017 | 5×3, 20 lines | 95.43% |
| Legend of Fortune | 2018 | 5×3, 20 lines | 95.51% |
| Dinoworld | Not listed | 5×3, 20 lines | 95.85% |
| Action Bank Plus | 2019 | 6×4, 4,096 ways | 96.04% |
| Raging Rhino Megaways | 2019 | Megaways, up to 117,649 ways | 96.18% |
A single percentage point sounds small, and in one short session luck swamps it. Over months of play it adds up. My take: enjoy the classic Red7 themes for what they are and keep the stakes modest, and if return matters most to you, the two 2019 games are the ones above 96%. SlotCatalog also shows a range for Dragon vs Unicorn, from 95.19% to 95.43%, so the info screen at the Red7 casinos you use has the final word. Our slots section is handy if you want to compare these with other studios’ games.
Red7’s fingerprints reach further than its own logo. In Gaming Intelligence’s studio directory, Light & Wonder’s UK studio, the one founded as Red7, is credited with creating the Jackpot Wars and Mega Drop jackpot concepts.

Mega Drop is the one you are more likely to have met. It is a multi level jackpot that resets after each drop, and Scientific Games attached it to games such as Tetris Extreme, a 2019 slot built around the falling block puzzle, which went out to operators in European markets through its OpenGaming system.
The same profile says the team now builds slots, jackpots and table games around well known brands, naming titles like 5 Treasures, Marvelous Mouse and Rainbow Riches Race Day. How a casino labels those games varies, so the Red7 filter in a lobby is not a complete guide to everything the Bristol team has worked on.
The list at the top of this page shows every open casino in our database that has Red7 in its lobby. Closed and blacklisted casinos are left out, which saves you some homework, but not all of it.
Start with the licence. We could not find a current gambling licence in the Red7 name, so at Red7 casinos the licence that matters is the casino’s own, and it has to cover the country you live in. Then read the withdrawal terms in our review: payout times, limits and the verification steps before your first cash out.
After that, open the info screen of the Red7 slot you came for and compare its RTP with the table above. If bonus money is involved, check that Red7 games count fully towards the wagering. And if you want to size up the other studios in the same lobby, our guides to every game provider we cover are a good next stop.

No. The names are similar, but Red Tiger and Red Rake Gaming are separate companies. Red7 started in Bristol as Red7Mobile and is now part of Light & Wonder.
Among the Red7 slots we looked at, SlotCatalog lists RTPs from 95.08% for Jelly Bear Athletics to 96.18% for Raging Rhino Megaways. The older 20 line games sit around 95 to 96%, so check the info screen at your casino.
SlotCatalog files it under Red7, but its own review credits the Megaways update to WMS. Both sit inside the same group today, which is why Red7 casinos may list the game under either name.
Yes, a little. SlotCatalog lists one card game, Zappit Blackjack, and the company also made scratch cards, instant win and table games, plus sports apps and sportsbook middleware.
We could not find a current gambling licence in the Red7 name, and Red7Mobile Ltd was dissolved in 2023. What matters is that the casino you play at is licensed in your country.
