NYX Interactive started out as a Swedish software company and grew into NYX Gaming Group, the supplier that bought NextGen Gaming, built a content platform called OGS and was finally taken over by Scientific Games, known today as Light & Wonder. The NYX Interactive casinos on this page are the ones in our database that still carry its games.
Below the list we untangle the name, run through the company in dates, look at five of its slots and explain what to check before you load an older NYX title today.

NYX Interactive was a Swedish gaming software company set up around 2006. It joined forces with the Australian slot studio NextGen Gaming in 2011, grew into NYX Gaming Group with a head office in Las Vegas and built the OGS content platform. Scientific Games completed its takeover of NYX in January 2018 and renamed itself Light & Wonder in 2022.

Why NYX Interactive Casinos Can Pay Back Less on Some Old Slots
Casinos are not consistent about this name, and neither are the directories. Some lobbies say NYX Interactive, SlotCatalog files the games under NYX Gaming Group, and old press releases switch between the two. Same family, different moments in its life.
NYX Interactive AB came first, described in the trade press as a Swedish software provider. When Nordic Venture Partners invested in August 2008, the company said it was two years old, and it sold gaming technology to state lotteries and licensed operators, not slots.
The games and the bigger name came later. By 2013 NYX Gaming Group gave Las Vegas as its headquarters, with offices in London, Stockholm and Sydney, and by 2015 it traded on the TSX Venture Exchange while NYX Interactive had become its technology division. Whichever label you see, NYX Interactive casinos are serving games from this one group.

NYX grew mostly by buying things, so its story reads best as a list of deals we could confirm in press releases and trade coverage.

|---|---|
| 2008 | Nordic Venture Partners invests EUR 5 million in NYX Interactive |
| 2010 | NYX Interactive buys Cashball, an Isle of Man bingo network, from Bonnier Lottery |

OpenBet did not stay for long: by 2022 the renamed group had agreed to sell it to Endeavor.
SlotCatalog lists just five slots under the NYX name, released between 2012 and 2016. The group’s main slot maker was NextGen Gaming, its game development arm, covered on our NextGen Gaming casinos page. The NYX shelf is small, but not dull.
The newest of the five, dated 2016, is a neon retro piece full of guitars, motorbikes and street food. It plays on 5 reels with 243 ways, with wilds, random extra wilds, free spins and a multiplier, and SlotCatalog puts the RTP at a generous 97.07%.

Cubis, from 2013, throws the reels out. The board is an open sided cube of 75 small blocks over two walls and a floor, and you win with clumps or lines of 4 to 10 matching colours. Bombs blast cubes away and drop in fresh ones, much like tumbling reels, and a random Wild Dice bonus multiplies prizes by the total on the dice. Odd, and far more memorable than another Egyptian five reeler.
The 2015 jungle slot is the most conventional of the bunch: 243 ways, a 96% RTP and medium volatility according to SlotCatalog. The King Kong wild lands on reels 2 to 5, and gate symbols swing open to reveal a symbol, the same one behind every gate.
To see why the NYX name still turns up, look at the plumbing rather than the reels. OGS, the Open Gaming System, was a hosted platform that let an operator connect once and receive NYX’s own games plus content from many other suppliers. Today we would call it an aggregator.

It reached CaesarsCasino.com in New Jersey in September 2015 with 40 NYX slots, and William Hill went live the next month with hundreds of titles from several vendors. Land based makers used the same road. In 2013 Aristocrat agreed to deliver eight titles through NYX, among them Zorro, Lucky 88 and Queen of the Nile 2.
That is why SlotCatalog files Queen of Nile II under NYX even though Aristocrat made it, so a game tagged NYX in NYX Interactive casinos may well come from another studio. Scientific Games got OGS with the takeover and made it part of its OpenGaming ecosystem, launched in October 2019 with more than 2,500 games.
Gulliver’s Travels shows the problem best. The 2014 fairy tale slot runs on 20 lines, a Megalines symbol on reel 1 or 5 adds another 20, and landing it on both switches the spin to 243 ways, while Flipout turns winning symbols over to reveal new ones. Clever, but SlotCatalog lists the RTP at 93.01% and says the game comes in more than one RTP version.
Across the five NYX titles the listed returns run from 93.01% to 97.07%, a wider gap than you often see between two studios. In NYX Interactive casinos, a few habits help:
None of this makes the older titles bad. The numbers just deserve a look before the first spin.

The list at the top of this page shows the open casinos in our database that carry NYX games, with closed and blacklisted brands left out. These titles have passed through several owners, so the NYX shelf varies from lobby to lobby. If you want one particular game, log in and check that it loads before you deposit.
The game is the small part of choosing between NYX Interactive casinos, though. Make sure the casino holds a licence that covers the country you live in, read the withdrawal terms for limits and processing times, and check which RTP version it runs of the slots you came for. If a bonus is involved, look at the game weighting table, because older slots from smaller labels are sometimes excluded from wagering or count for less. Our full list of game providers is the place to compare NYX with studios that are still releasing new games.
They belong together. NYX Interactive AB was the original Swedish company, and it later became the technology division of NYX Gaming Group, based in Las Vegas. NYX Interactive casinos and directories use both names for the same games.
Scientific Games completed its takeover of NYX Gaming Group in January 2018, and Scientific Games renamed itself Light & Wonder in 2022. NYX no longer exists as an independent company.
We found no sign of it. SlotCatalog lists five slots under the NYX name, and the newest of them, Jukepot, is dated 2016. Expect NYX Interactive casinos to offer the existing catalogue rather than new releases.
The Open Gaming System, a hosted platform that delivered NYX games and other suppliers’ games to operators through one connection. Scientific Games later made it part of its OpenGaming ecosystem.
SlotCatalog lists returns from 93.01% for Gulliver’s Travels to 97.07% for Jukepot, and some games exist in several RTP versions, so check the help screen at your casino.
Yes. NYX Interactive joined forces with the Australian studio NextGen Gaming in 2011, and NextGen became the slot development arm of NYX Gaming Group. It moved to Scientific Games along with the rest of NYX in 2018.
